Bill Kalahurka

Zemanta Related Posts ThumbnailBill Kalahurka provided the voice with enough gravitas or authority to help the audience understand a very complicated piece of Kansas City history. You may remember Bill from his award winning series of three and a half minute vignettes on Kansas City history, Kansas City Crossroads. KC Crossroads aired on NBC Channel 41 from 1997 to 2002. Bill is still a great voice to use, he is active as a fund raiser for various non-profits and as a dinner speaker.

I learned from Freedom Seekers: Stories From the Western Underground Railroad that a professional narrator is absolutely necessary to better educate the viewer. My goal in making documentary films is giving folks the history education they did not receive. In Freedom Seekers, I got local musician and actor, Danny Cox. Danny also gave me his song about the Underground Railroad to use in the film. Danny is very active in children’s theater and in demand as a speaker and still performs in Kansas City.
