Al D’Arco

Mob boss DArcoI recently was made aware of an interesting new mob book about Al D’Arco by two of the most respected experts in East Coast Mob activities. Jerry Capeci and Tom Robbins have covered the New York City  Organized Crime scene for several decades.

In Mob Boss: The Life of Little Al D”Arco, the Man Who Brought Down The Mafia,  the authors tell the story of the man who learned mob members  were not only planning on killing him, but they were plotting to kill members of his family. His decision to flip prompted many others to make the same choice, including John Gotti’s top aide, Salvatore “Sammy the Bull” Gravano, and his testimony sent more than fifty mobsters to prison. Sammy the Bull eventually testified against the Teflon Don, John Gotti.

Both these authors have spent years developing sources and contacts inside the F.B.I, the NYPD and the 5 Families of New York City. I recommend this book to get an inside view of the East Coast families. Mob DArco brochure
